ELI Events & Course Schedules

ÎÞÂëרÇø ELI offers a variety of options to meet with our Admission team and experience our campuses. From private meetings with an admission advisor to information sessions with live campus tours and walking tours.

The English Language Institute also offers English and Academic support services to students, including one-on-one tutoring sessions and Conversation Groups.

Conversation Groups for International Students

Are you looking for a fresh set of eyes or advice to get you started on your research paper? We can help you plan, draft, revise, and edit your writing. Our collaborative process is designed to help you refine your work for submission and build your skills for the next assignment.

Ice Skating

Every Tuesday night from 3:00 p.m. at the ice rink on The Rooftop at Pier 17. Get ready to take in the unbeatable city views and enjoy skating for just $10 (including rentals) with your ÎÞÂëרÇø ID! Plus, indulge in a $5 cup of hot chocolate!

Weekly Wellness Walk (Pleasantville Campus)

Weather permitting, we will walk the scenic pond path outside the library and beyond; on icy or rainy days, we will meet at the vestibule and walk over to the Goldstein indoor track.

Guided Meditation

Join us for a weekly guided meditation with an opportunity for community, connection, and a brief discussion!

Earth Day Common Ground Film Premiere

Common Ground is the sequel to Kiss the Ground, a movie that inspired the U.S. government to spend $20 billion on soil health. This film shows the problems in today’s farming system and how it hurts farmers of all races. But it also shares stories of farmers using regenerative farming, a better way to grow food that can help the planet, our health, and the economy. .

Take Our Children to Work Day

ÎÞÂëרÇø's Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day is based upon the national campaign, Take Our Daughters to Work Day, which was created in 1993 by the Ms. Foundation. This year, the English Language Institute will participate again with our 'Travel Around the World' presentations by ÎÞÂëרÇø ELI students!

Join ÎÞÂëרÇø for our 35th year of participating in the Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, September 7 in Central Park, NYC. ÎÞÂëרÇø has proudly held the title of the largest college/university team at the Race for the Cure for the past 3 ½ decades thanks to our fearless Leader, Professor Emeritus, Dr. Ellen Mandel! Join us to keep this tradition on Race Day Note…this is a race for the actual cure…not an actual race; It’s a group walk!!! If you can’t attend in person, you can still register and donate to support the cause! Every step, every voice, and every contribution matters.
