The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÎÞÂëרÇø is delighted to announce that they will have the honor of hosting Anthony Moffa, Professor and Associate Dean for Innovation at the University of Maine School of Law, as a Haub Visiting Scholar.
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÎÞÂëרÇø is proud to announce the appointment of an accomplished leadership team to continue to guide its top ranked Environmental Law Program into the future. Haub Distinguished Professor of Environmental Law, Katrina Fischer Kuh, will serve as Faculty Director of the Environmental Law Program. Achinthi C. Vithanage, Professor of Law for Designated Service in Environmental Law and Associate Director of Environmental Law Programs, will assume the role of Executive Director of the Environmental Law Program. Additionally, Josh Galperin, Associate Professor of Law, will take on the role of Faculty Director of the Sustainable Business Law Hub.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÎÞÂëרÇø is proud to announce that Lauren Roth, an accomplished scholar in health law and business law, will join the faculty as an Associate Professor of Law beginning in Fall 2025. Professor Roth will teach courses in corporations, contracts, and health law while also contributing her expertise and leadership to Haub Law’s Health Law and Policy Certificate program.
Lisa Fastenberg, Ph.D., associate professor and chairperson of the Mathematics Department in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at ÎÞÂëרÇø in Pleasantville, has been appointed to ÎÞÂëרÇø’s Board of Trustees.
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÎÞÂëרÇø is pleased to announce that Keith Engel, a seasoned expert in tax policy, will join the faculty as a Visiting Professor for the Spring 2024 semester. During his time at Haub Law, Professor Engel will teach Corporations & Partnerships and Tax Policy. Engel is currently Chief Executive Officer for the South African Institute of Taxation and an adjunct tax professor at the University of Witswatersrand.
ÎÞÂëרÇø is pleased to announce the establishment of the Gale Epstein Center for Technology, Policy, and the Environment, made possible by a significant gift from Gale Epstein, a New York City-based philanthropist and business leader. The new center is housed in the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems.
On December 6, 2024, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÎÞÂëרÇø hosted the 23rd annual Alfred B. DelBello Land Use and Sustainable Development Conference. This year’s theme, Fostering the Development of Sustainable Communities through Innovative Strategies, brought together hundreds of attorneys, professionals, and local leaders to discuss best practices in land use and sustainable development.
ÎÞÂëרÇø was recently awarded $476,000 from the to support a three-year interdisciplinary initiative, Islands, Archipelagos, and Cultural Ecologies. The project will advance environmental justice and the environmental humanities at ÎÞÂëרÇø, building on the university’s strengths in experiential learning and place-based education.
ÎÞÂëרÇø’s Federal Reserve Challenge Team continues its legacy of excellence, winning the competition and ranking in the top five nationally out of 119 participating institutions— the largest in the competition’s history. The team also received an honorable mention as national finalists, competing against prestigious schools such as Harvard, Princeton, and the University of Michigan.
